A status shown as released means the participating county jail reported a custody change. It does not establish that the person returned to the community, completed a sentence, or has no other hold. Confirm Brown County VINE Releases

Brown County’s current jail roster is useful only as a timestamped current-custody report. It has no released filter or actual-release column. A later absence can support the chronology but cannot prove the outcome by itself.

Minnesota’s notification boundary is unusually sharp. VINE is linked only to county jails. Minnesota HAVEN, administered through MNDOC Victim Assistance, is the notification system for state-prison custody. A Brown County VINE alert cannot follow a later commitment into an MNDOC facility, even though the criminal case began in Brown County.
The change of system can occur while the Brown County court case remains the same. A VINE event may mark departure from the county jail, while the MNDOC locator later shows institutional custody or community supervision. Keep each agency’s exact date and status label. Do not merge a county-jail custody change, a prison release to supervision, and final DOC discharge into one event. Final discharge is different, and a fully discharged person may no longer appear.

Brown County VINELink Release Limits
VINE is supplementary. Data can lag, a feed can have an issue, and no-result retention is not promised. It does not create a certified court or sheriff record.
